How to be a successful online student:

  1. Plan – carve out time to study every day, this is real university coursework.
  2. Don’t procrastinate – anticipate projects, tests and assignments.
  3. Know your due dates – write them down.
  4. Stay focused – it’s tempting to surf the web but stay the course.
  5. Visit your online classroom daily – you’ll feel more connected to it.
  6. Talk to your instructor – if you have a personal or an academic issue, reach out for assistance.
  7. Utilize your time – waiting rooms, commutes by train, any downtime is a good time to study.
  8. Work in a quiet place – television, children, friends, etc., are all distractions.
  9. Prioritize your schoolwork – keep the goal of graduation always in mind.
  10. Graduate with your Kean degree.
