Speech-Language Pathology Pre-Professional Program The 21 credit Speech-Language Pathology Pre-Professional Program, offered through Kean Online, is housed in the School of Communication Disorders and Deafness. The purpose of the program is to provide foundational preparation for students who have an academic and/or professional background in a field other than speech-language-hearing sciences and disorders who intend to apply for entrance into a graduate program in speech-language pathology or audiology. Students accepted into the Pre-Professional Program take only those courses needed to fulfill prerequisite coursework prior to applying for graduate work in speech-language pathology or audiology. This program features well integrated and comprehensive degree plans, small classes, dedicated faculty mentors/advisors who are scholars, researchers and dedicated practitioners. Application Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Minimum GPA of 3.0 (lower GPAs will be considered) Statement of Purpose Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended Professional Resume/CV TOEFL or IELTS scores (for applicants whose native language is not English). Exceptions can be made for students who have completed at least 6 credits of college level English courses from a U.S. institution, or who have submitted SAT or ACT exam scores. Students must have official transcripts sent directly to Kean University from every institution previously attended.
